Mukti, tell me about yourself, your personality, and your passion. How do you serve yourself? Also, how do you serve the community?

Activities I enjoy include moments of tranquillity, social gatherings, quality time with family, watching movies and shows, practising meditation, yoga, and Pilates, working out at the gym, taking leisurely walks, getting sufficient sleep, indulging in lazy mornings, expressing myself through art, journaling, and continually learning and growing.

Additionally, I cherish indulging in brunch, treating myself to a massage and facial, spending precious moments with my husband, kids, family, and friends, and carving out some essential "me time" for self-care and rejuvenation.

Over nine years ago, my journey into wellness and personal growth began with my son's autoimmune diagnosis. Driven to enhance his wellbeing, I immersed myself in natural health practices. While my interest in holistic wellness existed prior, this experience ignited a profound passion and sense of purpose.

As a mother, my priorities naturally shifted, and though my time became limited, the joy I found in this path was boundless.

Today, I'm dedicated to my evolution and empowering fellow mothers on their wellness journeys. Every mother holds the power to shape her destiny and cultivate a life of abundance, free from stress and overwhelm.

The mothers I'm assisting today mirror who I was nine years ago, and I aim to empower them to flourish and become the most vibrant versions of themselves.

Currently, I write blogs focusing on wellness and personal growth, sharing my expertise while also collaborating with inspiring individuals to share their unique insights. Additionally, I offer coaching services in this field, guiding individuals towards transformative life changes, shifting from merely surviving to thriving. Excitingly, this year, I'll be launching a membership program in this area, providing even more opportunities for wellness, growth and development. I'm thrilled about these upcoming endeavours and eagerly anticipate the journey ahead as it unfolds.

1.      Who has been the kindest to you in your life?

 Reflecting on the kindness we've received is a journey that warms the heart. Let's hold dear those beautiful souls who have brightened our lives with their love and compassion, whether they're family, friends, or even strangers.

 It isn't easy to single out just one person. My husband of 20 years envelops me in his love and care every day, his devotion to our family is immeasurable. Then there's Lorraine, a dear friend from our Newsagency days, who treats me like family while being an incredible friend. My dad, a gentle soul, silently supports me, subtly guiding me without ever being critical. These acts of kindness weave the fabric of our lives, along with my selfless mother, who sacrificed so much for her children.

2.      Why do you think bad things happen to good people?

This age-old question nudges us to navigate life's twists and turns with an open heart. Challenges may catch us off guard, but we respond that shapes our journey, guiding us toward resilience, growth, and unexpected silver linings.

Challenges are threaded into each person's story in life's intricate tapestry. They spark growth, nudging us beyond our comfort zones and testing our resolve. Though the path may seem daunting, we have the power to choose: succumb to adversity or rise and pursue our dreams.

The universe often aligns with our desires but challenges us to prove our commitment through action. Every worthwhile pursuit demands effort, and it's through overcoming obstacles that we genuinely cherish our achievements.

Embrace each challenge as a stepping stone toward your dreams. Recognize that with every hurdle, you're crafting resilience and grit. Life's imperfections shape us, urging us to evolve amidst discomfort. Within it all, gratitude for our blessings fosters a mindset of abundance and appreciation.

 3.      Besides work and family, what is your biggest priority?

Exploring passions and pursuits that ignite our spirits can enrich our lives with depth and harmony. Whether it's a cherished hobby, personal goal, or dedicated self-care practice, nurturing these aspects brings profound fulfillment and balance.

For me, my primary focus lies in supporting mothers along their journey of wellness and personal growth, guiding them to reconnect with their authentic selves. Recognising the pivotal role you play in your family's life, it's essential to prioritise your own wellbeing amidst daily responsibilities. Your health and happiness are fundamental to fostering family harmony.

Moreover, pursuing your dreams beyond your caregiving duties infuses your life with purpose and fulfillment, serving as a powerful example for your children. As parents, we have the opportunity to demonstrate to our children that anything is achievable when we follow our hearts. So, embrace what sets your soul ablaze—your joy and contentment radiate outward, shaping the world around you.

4.      What I'm Most Proud of Achieving?

 First and foremost, my most significant source of pride rests in the love and joy brought into my life by my two beautiful children, Ruben and Veronica. Their presence fills my days with happiness, and I can't imagine a world without them. Equally cherished is my husband of 20 years, Ed, whose unwavering support and love mean everything to me.

Another achievement close to my heart is establishing a thriving community dedicated to wellness and personal growth. Witnessing this community flourish and seeing the collective journey of transformation and empowerment fills me with immense pride and gratitude.

Finally, after years of anticipation, I took a significant step forward by launching my website and diving into blogging in December 2022. This milestone represents a culmination of dedication and perseverance, turning a long-held dream into a tangible reality. Here's to embracing every achievement, big and small, and to the vibrant tapestry of growth and fulfilment we create together!

5.      What advice would you give your teenage self?

 Let's rewind the clock and reflect on our younger selves: What wisdom would you impart to your teenage years? Here's mine: Don't sweat the small stuff; trust everything will fall into place.

 As I reminisce on my teenage years, I realise how eager I was to embrace adulthood. Yet, looking back, I cherish the simplicity and freedom of childhood. I wish I had spent more time playing, exploring, and engaging in sports—a decision solely mine, not my parents. Additionally, I yearn for the opportunity to delve deeper into subjects that truly sparked my interest.

In hindsight, I recognise that I squandered precious time during my youth—a realisation that fuels my desire to make the most of each moment today.

6.      Are there any funny stories your family tells about you?

 Ah, the whimsical tales that weave the fabric of our family lore! Have you ever heard stories that never fail to bring a smile to your face? Let's embark on a journey down memory lane and share a few chuckles from our family's treasure trove of memories!

One particularly memorable moment involves a curious toddler's unexpected encounter with a mysterious liquid during a family gathering in Fiji. The ensuing confusion and laughter indeed made for an unforgettable evening!

Then there's the delightful saga of a grandmother in Savusavu whose nights were often filled with the joyful chatter of her grandchildren, leaving her both exhausted and warm.

Who could forget the endearing story of a 12-year-old girl yearning to blend in with everyone else? Despite her efforts, her light-coloured eyes often drew comments from family and friends whenever they visited. During that phase of her life, she longed to be like everyone else, and all the attention on her unique feature proved to be quite frustrating.

7.      When's the last time you've been so happy it moved you to tears?

 Think back to a moment of pure, unadulterated joy that touched your soul. Whether it was a significant achievement, a heartwarming reunion, or a simple act of kindness, let's bask in the deep joy that moves us to tears.

It was over a decade ago when my firstborn, Ruben, came into the world. It all started with a routine check-up, but I felt something special was about to happen. After a restless night's sleep and discomfort, I asked my husband to accompany me to the doctor's office.

Little did I know I was on the brink of motherhood. As the medical team confirmed that I was ready to give birth, a whirlwind of emotions swept over me. The moment Ruben entered the world, our lives changed forever. I was overwhelmed with euphoria, knowing that his arrival began a new chapter filled with boundless love and endless possibilities.

As family members gathered around to welcome our precious bundle of joy, the air was filled with excitement and anticipation. It was a moment etched in my memory with vivid clarity, where time seemed to stand still as we embraced the miracle of life.

Becoming parents was a rollercoaster of excitement and a hint of trepidation. But in that instant, as I held my newborn son in my arms, all fears vanished, replaced by an indescribable sense of joy and gratitude.

Even a decade later, I vividly remember the sheer happiness that overwhelmed me in that hospital room. A moment of pure bliss brought tears of joy streaming down my cheeks.

Reflecting on that day warms my heart, reminding me of the profound joy accompanying the miracle of life. It's a poignant reminder that moments of pure happiness can move us to tears, even amidst life's challenges and uncertainties.

So, I encourage you to cherish those moments of boundless joy in your life – for they are the threads that weave the tapestry of our most cherished memories.

8. My Life Growing Up

Growing up, my life was a vibrant mosaic of cultures, filled with a kaleidoscope of colours, languages, and flavours. This upbringing instilled a profound appreciation for diversity and the richness of embracing different perspectives. Arriving in Australia at 7, being a middle child, I navigated the challenges of being different and enduring teasing at primary school. However, as I matured, I shed my shyness, and my voice became unyielding. In my 30s and 40s, I embraced social interactions and remained a listener, finding joy in others' stories. Being unique has always been my compass; I've always preferred not to follow the crowd. While my parents may have wished for a more compliant child, I challenged the notion that life is predetermined. Instead, I embraced the idea that life unfolds as it's meant to, with unforeseen twists shaping our journey.

9.      What kind of traits do you hope to find in a close friend?

 Let's explore the key traits that make a friendship truly special! My most important qualities include caring, compassion, and a mutual sense of empathy. I value friendships that offer a two-way street of support, where sharing laughs and creating cherished memories are at the heart of our bond. A deep connection that transcends time and distance is paramount, where we can pick up right where we left off, no matter how long it's been since we last connected.

If we meet and we hit it off, I will make a point of connecting with people. I do believe that is my superpower!

This book promises to be a captivating read, and I look forward to immersing myself in it when it's published.
